Garrett Leigh’s books are always a joy but a pain altogether. A joy because of the skillful writing, the setting and the characters, but the pain lies within the characters. You ask why? Well, Garrett’s characters are all dealing with a lot of own heavy problems, they seem to have plenty of good things but underlining all this there is a certain kind of sadness I’d say.

This is the pain to read about them; it’s honest and raw, it’s unadorned and authentic, but although it pains you to read the struggle the characters have to go through, to deal with, there is a beauty in these realness.

I adore Garrett for creating such characters you can see yourself so wonderfully in; characters who maybe have the same problems as you, display the same mental illnesses or other (physical or psychological) problems. The full spectrum is what I adore and Believe has all these elements.

I was so touched by the decication of Jevon, finding and spread joy in times and places where there it seems is no of such things. I had to choke several times because of the emotional rollercoaster ride. I truly respect people like Jevon, but also Rhys.
Helping those in need, to be there at the most dangerous places and try to give the people a bit relief, to be a personalised silver lining against the solitude.

Jevon and Rhys are perfect for each other, like the couples before; Angel and Devon, Harry and Joe. They have different needs, they see the world with different eyes but they balance each other perfectly and they give each other a reason to looking forward to after a long, hard day.

Believe is a tough and honest, pretty heavy book but so sweet in some things. I adored it and loved it and therefore I give 5 out of 5 stars.

Blurb

Flight paramedic Rhys Foster is hooked on adrenaline. By day it’s blood and guts, by night it’s the thrill of the club. With a different face in his bed most nights, he doesn’t have time to be lonely…right?

Entertainer Jevon Campbell is a play therapist like no other—dancer, magician, acrobat, he brings it all to his global mission to help children in need laugh again. He’s on a rare home visit when he encounters enigmatic Rhys in a London bar.

Their connection is instant, but Rhys fast realises Jevon’s easy confidence doesn’t stretch as far as the bedroom. He has no idea how mesmerising he is—how beautiful—and Rhys resolves to show him.

They grow closer, but time isn’t on their side. Rhys seems unable to articulate how he feels, and with Jevon’s imminent departure from the UK hanging over them, their separate commitments could tear them apart forever.

As the days slip by, Rhys must learn to believe he’s worth the happiness Jevon is offering.
