This is my first book by Con Riley but definitely not my last.
Right from the start, the story about Vanya and Jason captured me.
Both guys are so different yet they are fit so gret, they complete each other.
Vanya’s story is build on an angst topic, you are hoping for his stay in the UK, you want the HEA. He is such a kind soul and I love how his witty character is shown. He is honest yet has reason to hesitant in being open, he is suffering from old wounds; he worries, is a bit afraid but never looses hope.
When he meets Jason there is his posibilty, a chance he is taking – even when it means he is telling some white lies to protect himself.
I love the slow burn in the book, the tension is palpable and so true. Jason isn’t caring he is older than Vanya. He is in the same position as his brother, and his dealing with his brother’s fiancé is one major aspect in the book.
I admit I wasn’t a fan of Jason’s brother right from the start but after a while you get why he is so annoyed. Jason is also not flawless, but the edges is what the character makes unique and so charming.
The encounter between the two guys are hot, as I said there is slow burn but when they let loose the sparks are flying. ❤
The book is so full of different things, family is a major aspect and it is coated with the fear of losing so much, so much of value.
This first book by Con Riley was a great start for me to get into the writing and I am so excited to read other books by her. ❤
