Restaurant owner Tom Fearnes has loved his partner Cass for as long as he can remember, but their work often keeps them apart. When he meets a striking young man named Jake on the vibrant streets of Camden Town, their heady first encounter takes an unexpected turn.

Jake Thompson can hardly believe his luck when he wakes up in Tom’s bed. Tom is gorgeous, kind, and . . . taken. Tom’s explanation of his open relationship leaves Jake cold, but Tom is too tempting, and when hard times force Jake to accept Tom’s helping hand, he finds himself between two men who’ve lost their way.

Cass Pearson is a troubled soul. He loves Tom with all he has, but some days it feels like he hasn’t much to give. Jake seems like the perfect solution. Cass risks everything to push Jake and Tom together, but Jake resists, wary, until the darkness of Cass’s past comes to call. Then Jake finds himself the last man standing, and it’s time to dig deep and shine a light for the men he’s grown to love.

Ménage stories can be really good or really bad. But this was a story where everything was fitting – though nobody of the three character were perfect as individuals.

It is really interesting how this trinity was shown, how Garrett Leigh displayed it and wow, it was really awesome.

Devided in three parts we get the most insight of Tom and Jake but Cass isn’t left behind. I agree with the voices who wanted to have more of the “Cass”-part but on the other hand all three parts were equally mixed and well combined.

It is really impressive how well balanced the story was.
No one of the guys is flawless, quite the contrary, Tom has his mistakes and his problems. He is totally bond to Cass, his love of his life and his soul mate but when he met Jake he is tempted, he is amazed by the guy who seems to carry a lot on his shoulders due to his disability, Tourette or short TS.

This is another thing in the book which was – for me at least – well and, that’s most important, sensitive and very genuine shown. Jake never seems unequal to Tom and Cass and even when Jake is struggeling you don’t pity him. You feel with him, yes, but you are fond on a different level. You don’t “see” his disability, at least I didn’t while reading and the way how Tom and Cass react towards him is genuine, sweet and so awesome.

Cass is another character in the story you have – along to Jake – to decipher. Both guys are equally surrounded by “dark” thoughts, he seem to carry the most heavy burden, though Tom isn’t “the one and only happy one”, no.
Cass’ situation is dealt at the end of the book, it is “solved” in a way and the twist and turn of the book is fitting to the low angst and gave thrill but without setting the whole book in total fuss.

Though it is a “calm” book there are eventful parts, the struggles of all three character are equal and important and you see the development. Well executed by Garrett Leigh and wrapped in beautiful words.

Next to the great character display the sex scenes were magnificent and so sweet and sexy and hot alltogether. :3 Never felt you left behind, and gosh, one or two scenes were particulary sexy. *needs air* :3 ❤

The cover’s significant aspects are added into the book and it is really awesome to see how the title is fitting to the events.

I can give the book nothing else than 5 out of 5 stars. I am really excited to read the second book in the series, which is dealing with Nero, the chef de cuisine we met in Misfits. 🙂 And don’t “worry”, the blurb say this is a a solid MM story, not a ménage. xD

This is the… second ménage I read and loved so dearly. :3
