In this TTT (Top Ten Tuesday) meme which is hosted weekly with the utmost grace by The Broke and the Bookish I list my Top 10 Books with with a Halloween topic. I admit it’s a bit difficult because I don’t read this many halloween themes books. xD But here is my list. 🙂 I also included books which are fitting to the whole halloween theme. 🙂
- Stygian by Santino Hassell
This is so captivating… the mood is totally fitting for Halloween…
- Lead me into Darkness (Anthology)
With the sequel to Stygian – Take you farther – this is a must read. But the short stories are also all fitting to the Halloween spooky theme, like it’s set in the subtitle. 🙂
- Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice by Hayden Hunt
– my review –
The title says it all: this is about Halloween. 🙂 Was a light read and not spooky. XD
- Waiting for Candy (Waiting for Clard # 1.5) by Annabeth Albert
– available through the author’s newsletter –
The Halloween themed sequel to Waiting for Clark with a crossover to her Portland Heat series. Of course this have to be listed here.
- Widdershins (Whybourne and Griffin # 1) by Jordan L. Hawk
It’s about paranormal activities but set in the 19th century. The mood in the book is totally fitting for the Halloween theme. 🙂 Contains a slight of magic, too. 🙂
- Cronin’s Key (Cronin’s Key # 1) by N.R. Walker
Also a paranormal series with vampires and other creatures. 🙂 Magical and fitting for an evening sitting in front of the fireplace.
- Duck! (Avian Shifters # 1) by Kim Dare
The series title says it: a story about shifters. Very fitting to the topic. Also a book with BDSM content… Very hot. :3
- Alasdair (Master among Monsters # 1) by Ella Frank
Again Shifters – which is totally fitting, this particular because of the spooky topic. 🙂
- It by Steven King
Okay, yeah, obvious this book have to be on the list, right? This is the source why I hate clowns… Fitting to the crazy news currently about the horror clowns… 😮 But a great read. You can – of course – select any book by Steven King fitting the Halloween topic.
- Birdman (Jack Caffery # 1) by Mo Hayder
One of the psychothriler which kept in mind… Really good, really disturbing. Fitting to the topic if you in love of fucked up mind plays.
- Bonus: any (short) story/novella by Edgar Allan Poe, Franz Kafka and E.T.A. Hoffmann. 🙂 Have a look at their brilliant, but often disturbing stories. 🙂
