Top Ten Tuesday #2: Top Ten ALL TIME Favorite Books – Gay Romance (september 13th)

In this TTT (Top Ten Tuesday) meme which is hosted weekly with the utmost grace by The Broke and the Bookish I list my Top 10 of my all time favorite books in a certain genre.

Of course I’ll chose Gay romance for this one. 😉 Since I have so many great books I love I list them in alphabetical order (sorted by the authors) and some share a position. 😀 Tough decision but I guess I get it. Have a look! 😉

  1. Full Domain (Nice Guys # 3) /Secret by Kindle Alexander
    2848436625570691
Two damn hot books. The third installment of the Nice Guys series was even better than volume 1+2 which rocked. Kreed and Aaron were some guys – whew, I couldn’t get enough. With a combination of one badass and one geeky hero I melted away. And all I can say:
Fitting  to the nerdy topic and having a re-appearance in Full Domain I chose Secret. This book with the coming out topic and full of hot sex is one sexy hot mess. ❤
  2. Him / Us (Him # 1+2) by Sarina Bowen and El Kennedy
    2591542329283273
Of course the book  – Him – which won the RITA award in the category Best Contemporary Romance Mid Lengh (2016) – and with Alexis Halls For Real the only one out of the LGBTQ+ genre – have to be on my list. With sports as a topic and the trope gay for you it captured my heart.
The sequel Us is also a great addion and both should be read right behind. Jamie and Ryan steal your heart right after starting this.
I’m also totally looking forward reading the german translation of both books, published by LYX.
  3. Touch the Sky / Chase the Sun (Free Fall # 1+2) by Nyrae Dawn and Christina Lee2954342631360333
The first book of the Free Fall series and the start of an awesome collaboration. This book took me on an emotional ride. It was sometimes hart to read because of the heavy issues Lucas and Gabriel have to go though. I was reminded by Riley Hart’s Broken Pieces series because of the similarity between Lucas and Mateo (from Broken Pieces)
The second volume of the series was a bit more cheerfully but also hart to read in some parts. My review tell you a bit more about it. 🙂
  4. Broken Pieces (Broken Pieces # 1) by Riley Hart
    20707964
Normally I’m not that fond of threesomes/ménag à trois but this book was beyond everything. With the witty, impressing writing Riley Hart always have it was totally comfortable to read this. Although the topic is not cozy and cheesy. On the contrary, it’s hard stuff and the whole series take you on a rollercoaster ride… There weren’t never the feeling of letting one person down while reading and the three guys completed each other perfectly…
  5. Sutphin Boulevard (Five Boroughs # 1) by Santino Hassell
    25994729
I would have never expected to read such an amazing, marvelous book. Beyond so many other topics and books I’ve read so far this was – without exaggeration – the most realistic and rawest book out of the gay romance genre. Micheal and Nunzio are helluva guys you immediately fall in love with. And the minor character like Michael’s little brother Ray(mond) – hot mess ❤
One reason also to love this book is its cover. Normally I would say: don’t judge a book by its cover but – damn – this is a reason I grabbed it; go, check out Juan Forgia, the cover model on social media like Twitter and Instagram.
  6. Strong Signal (Cyberlove # 1) by Santino Hassell and Megan Erickson
    28561501
I admit when I heard about a collaboration between Santino Hassell and Megan Erickson I cried a little bit out of pure joy. 😀 The last year and this is strong of great collaborations, this book is perfectly fitting in this queue.
With a nerdy topic, the combination of a gaming nerd and a military dude who both suffering a lot because of their very own problems I swooned away. Two contrary types but fitting so well together. I also adore this cover. The colors the font and the cover model (love guys with beards).
  7. Timing by Ashley John
    29756459
In times where people are rushing and are always in haste falling in love isn’t easy. Capturing this motto Timing was a charming and sweet book. I had great times with the british humor or Ashley John and his writing was sexy and sweet.
They felt natural and right like they’ve popped out of your neibourhood. 😀 My highlight of the minor character was Miss Kitty Litter aka Ricky who get his own book. Can’t wait.
  8. Imperfect Harmony by Jay Northcote
    29397223
This book was so beautiful but also emotional. It gave me all I needed and so much more. I really fell in love with the book since I’ve read the blurb, the combination of singing in a choir (something I can relate to because I’ve sung also in one for a long time) and the loss of people  – even if it was a minor thing in the book – because of age and sometimes diseases. The book I would summarize with the motto: circle of life. Sounds cheesy but it was really a book which contained all of it at once.
  9. Learning to Love / Memories of the Heart (Memories of the Heart # 1) by Felice Stevens
    3006868824906706
Learning to Love  – a book I really loved and adored because of several reason. To get a full insight, read my review. But with its uniqueness in Felice Stevens’ writing – first person instead of third – it was more captivating and so so much more heartbreaking.Another book I can’t exclude from this list was the first book of the Memories of the Heart series. I fell in love although it had a hart topic with the dementia.
  10. First by K.C. Wells
    26310350
When people ask which book I recommend because of several reason – may it be having a heroes with a large age gap or losing the virginity – I always answer: read this book. It is so great, with charming character, so lovable and sweet. Mike is a fabulous “mentor” of Tommy, the spicy secret: he is a porno actor. 😀 The downfall of the industry is really palpable written and awesome realistic. Taking a famous porn actor (Tim Kruger – if you want to look up *smirk*) as cover model is also a smart choice. 😉

What are your top all time favorite books of the genre?   🙂 Do you have some or is the genre a nay for you? 😀 What other all time favorite lists do you have? Feel free to comment and tell me about it. 🙂

    • Thank you. And also for following me now. 🙂
I had hard times picking really only ten (okay, I “cheated” there are more :p) – but I tried to pick at least one book per author… to have it equal. 🙂 And when I wrote this list I remembered: hey, a few books are connected, like the 3rd book of the Nice Guys series by Kindle Alexander and Secret. xD
