To start this TTT (Top Ten Tuesday) meme which is hosted weekly with the utmost grace by The Broke and the Bookish I list my Top 10 of TV series I adore and love(d) over the past years and currently.
- House of Cards
Politics and an anti-hero as hero played by Kevin Spacey? When I heard about it I was totally intimidated 🙂 So far I wasn’t disappointed by the suspense and the merciless behaviour. - Ripper Street
I admit I started to watch this because of Matthew Macfadyn. His role in Pride and Prejudice (2005) along with Keira Knightley was extraordenary so I wanted to see him again. And I am not disapointed so far. The great mixture of crime and suspense in the times where Jack the Ripper shock the people is an entertaining show. But also the interaction and futher storyline is thrilling. - Vikings
Oh good Lord, Vikings can be so sexy. I was totally flashed when I saw Ragnar for the first time. Great actors, tough women like Lagertha. ❤ And a possible ship: Ragnar and Athelstan. :3 Full of action, intrigues and violence. - Hannibal
Finger licking good – opps, you shouldn’t watch this with a weak stomach. 🙂 The series based on the books by Thomas Harris. Intimidating and dangerous. Dark but also very, very thrilling. - Pushing Daisies
Such a shame this great series only got two season. Because it was so perfect and sweet. With a twist of magic and bittersweet a series I love to re-watch as often as I can. ❤ - 2 Broke Girls
2 Broke Girls – what is more to say? The plot is easy, the comedy hilarious and Max and Caroline a great duo. Along with lovely minor character I am always entertained. 🙂 - Big Bang Theory
Nerds who are shown in their natural habitat XD Funny, hilarious and geeky with jokes you need time or the knowledge to understand sometimes. 🙂 - Castle
A writer helping the police with their cases? Great plot but after a few seasons the magic of Kate and Castle lost a bit of their glitter… Still a great series I love to watch. With superb minor character and thrilling cases. - Supernatural
Sam and Dean, Dean and Sam. *swoon* Those boys. :3 Just one sentence: “Saving people, hunting things, the family business.” - Pride and Prejudice (BBC 1995)
Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy make me swoony ❤ Wet T-Shirt in times of Jane Austen. :3 ❤ A marvelous, very near to the book adaption. Always worth to watch. The opening is also totally lovely. ❤
Bonus: RuPaul’s Drag Race
A series I currently enjoy. I wasn’t into Drag Queens before and honestly I didn’t know anything about them. 😀 But with this series, which is totally entertaining, you get a great insight. Although – of course – you should be aware it’s a TV Show.. some things are over the top. 🙂
But I go with the motto of the show: “If you can’t love yourself how in the hell gonna love somebody else. Can I get an amen in here?”
